The Plan Design Plan Adding Skylights Terracotta Tile Tufted Headboard Zellige Tile DIY Fluted Doors REVEAL

It’s Week 2 and we’ve made big progress this week. Stick around till the end, I’ve got some exciting news to share!

DIY California Casual Bathroom Renovation

Demo day is DONE and phew, the magnitude of this project is creeping in. The “what did I get myself into” moment happened right on queue. I’m so glad to see that thin flimsy shower covering go, along with the grungy tile on the floor and countertop. We replaced that rusted old window too!

Everything needed to go, and I’m happy to report it did.

Ooo this looks teeny but it’s going to pack a punch, I swear.

Raise the R O O F!

We took a poll on Instagram and the people have spoken! You all voted to remove the drywall ceiling and expose the beautiful tongue and groove ceilings. And I was right there with you, 100% the right move. Mike sanded and stained the wood, it’s looking mighty fiiiiiiiiiine.

The D E T A I L S

I’m a neutral lover and I cannot lie. I’ve got some bold statements planned for this space though, don’t worry, it won’t fall flat! Cue the terracotta, I just can’t get enough. Brass is my favorite, but we’re mixing metals up in here fa’sho. The name of the game in the bathroom and bedroom is P A T T E R N.

The cat is O U T of the bag.

Where have you been Sachi? We’ve only been seeing Mike do all the work.

You’re right, Becky, you’re right.

I’ve been planted on the couch, bed, floor - debilitated. All for a good reason though. We’re expecting!!!!!!

For more than a year now we’ve struggled with infertility and I’m finally so thankful I can share this news with you. Some women have wonderful pregnancies, untouched by nausea, weight gain, or back pain. I, unfortunately, am not one of those women. You’ll find me at the sink daily ( I cannot for the life of me throw up in toilets), plagued by unrelenting nausea. That is why you've barely seen my face lately. HOWEVER, now I’m in the second trimester and I’m turning a corner *frantically knocks on ALL the wood.

I feel the color returning to my face, my energy levels coming back, and heck, I haven’t thrown up for THREE whole days. Miracles do exist! Bless all you mamas who have had hyperemesis. I just can’t even imagine.

So with all that to say, I’m going to be back in action! A big thank you to Mike for seriously carrying the team through the most crucial part of the ORC. You’ll be seeing us together more, and don’t mind me if I look abnormally out of breath.

Next week we’ve got drywall, paint, and a big surprise up our sleeve that you won’t want to miss. In the meantime, be sure to check out all the other Featured Designers!
